Summary
This study will watch popular medical TV dramas to count and describe scenes of death, dying, and violence or aggression toward healthcare workers. Researchers want to understand if these shows create unrealistic expectations for patients and families or influence what people see as acceptable behavior. The study will review 500 episodes from shows set in hospitals, focusing on emergency rooms, intensive care units, and operating rooms.
