Bladder muscle may predict prostate surgery success

NCT ID NCT07596537

First seen May 20, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026

Summary

This study looks at whether having a weak bladder muscle affects how well men recover after prostate surgery (TURP) for an enlarged prostate. All 90 participants have trouble urinating and need a catheter. Half have normal bladder strength, half have weak bladders. Researchers will compare how many can urinate on their own after surgery.
