NCT ID NCT01854450

First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated Jun 13, 2026 · Updated 32 times

Summary

This study tested whether having a woman lie on one side (asymmetrical lateral decubitus) during labor can help turn a baby that is facing the wrong way (occipitoposterior position) into a better position for birth. The trial included 326 women in labor. The main goal was to see if the baby's head had rotated one hour after the woman started lying on her side.
