First seen Apr 24, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This study aims to establish normal muscle mass values for the Turkish population using a special X-ray scan. Sarcopenia is a condition where people lose muscle and strength, raising the risk of falls and disability. By measuring muscle in healthy young and older adults, researchers hope to create better diagnostic cutoffs tailored to Turkish people.
