Tiny tumor clusters may predict colon cancer outcomes

NCT ID NCT06884839

First seen May 23, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026

Summary

This study examined tumor deposits—small clusters of cancer cells found near the main tumor—in 30 people with colorectal cancer. The goal was to see whether these deposits help predict how long patients live and whether the cancer spreads to other organs. Researchers tracked overall survival and the appearance of new metastases in the liver, lungs, bones, or brain. The findings could help doctors better understand a patient's prognosis.
