First seen Jan 10, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study compared two ways of doing lung cancer surgery: one with a breathing tube (intubated) and one without (tubeless). The goal was to see if the tubeless approach causes less lung injury, helps patients recover faster, and reduces carbon emissions. 73 adults with early-stage lung cancer took part. The study measured lung stress during surgery and tracked long-term outcomes.
