Can video visits bring expert lung care to rural patients?

NCT ID NCT07217093

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 31 times

Summary

This study explores whether regular video consultations with specialists can improve care for people with a rare lung condition linked to autoimmune diseases, like rheumatoid arthritis. Ten adults living in rural areas will receive coordinated care from local doctors and a lung expert at Mayo Clinic via teleconsultation. The goal is to see if this approach improves patient satisfaction and access to care, without testing a new treatment.
