First seen Feb 17, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 10 times
Summary
This study tested a new type of PET scan (68Ga-MY6349) that targets a protein called Trop-2 to find thyroid cancer that has come back or spread. Researchers compared it to the standard 18F-FDG PET scan in 149 adults with different types of thyroid cancer. The goal was to see if the new scan could detect cancer more accurately and help guide treatment decisions.
