New pacing approach aims to boost heart failure therapy success

NCT ID NCT02962791

First seen Feb 06, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 13 times

Summary

This study tested whether using three pacing sites instead of the usual two could help more people with heart failure benefit from cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT). About 25-30% of patients do not respond to standard CRT. The trial planned to enroll adults with severe heart failure who needed a new CRT device, but it was stopped early after only 36 participants. The main goal was to see if triple-site pacing improved heart structure and function.
