Can a common ADHD drug curb binge eating after bariatric surgery?

NCT ID NCT04599504

First seen Feb 04, 2026 · Last updated Jun 23, 2026 · Updated 17 times

Summary

This study tests whether the medication lisdexamfetamine (Vyvanse) can reduce loss-of-control eating and help with weight management in people who had bariatric surgery but still struggle with eating issues. About 60 adults who did not respond to earlier treatments will receive either the drug or a placebo daily for several months. The goal is to see if the medication leads to fewer binge episodes and better weight outcomes.
