New study aims to sharpen emergency room triage

Summary
This study tests a tool to better predict which emergency department patients are at risk of dying within 30 days. Researchers will track about 6,500 adults visiting the ER over three separate 9-week periods. The goal is to improve how doctors decide on hospital admission, ICU care, and treatment.
