First seen May 07, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study tests whether eye drops containing trehalose, a natural sugar, can strengthen the eye's protective barrier in people with moderate-to-severe dry eye disease. Thirty adults will use the drops for one month, and researchers will measure how well the cornea keeps out a special dye. The goal is to see if trehalose can improve eye surface health and reduce dryness.
