New study tests better ways to help kids with language delays understand complex sentences
NCT ID NCT06932016
First seen Apr 06, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study compares two teaching methods to help 150 children aged 8-11 with developmental language disorder learn passive sentence structures (like "The ball was thrown by the girl"). One method uses repetition and listening, while the other teaches grammar rules directly. Children will be tested before, right after, and five weeks after treatment to see which approach works better.
