Summary
This study tested if an oral product called Travelan could prevent diarrhea in healthy adults. Volunteers took either Travelan or a placebo (inactive look-alike) for a week and were then intentionally given bacteria that commonly causes traveler's diarrhea. Researchers compared how many people in each group got moderate-to-severe diarrhea to see if Travelan offered protection.
