New hope for healing trauma in schizophrenia patients
NCT ID NCT07242586
Summary
This pilot study is testing whether two established trauma therapies are safe and acceptable for young adults with schizophrenia who also have post-traumatic stress symptoms. Twenty participants receiving early-intervention mental health care will be randomly assigned to receive either Prolonged Exposure or EMDR therapy alongside their usual treatment. The main goal is to see if it's practical to run a larger future study, not to prove these therapies work for this group.
