Transgender fertility choices: what drives regret?

NCT ID NCT07194226

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 29 times

Summary

This study surveyed over 600 transgender adults in Italy to understand why they chose or declined fertility preservation before gender-affirming care and how much regret they feel about that decision. Researchers asked about the counseling and support they received, as well as personal and financial factors that influenced their choice. The goal is to help doctors and counselors provide better advice to transgender people about their fertility options.
