Can a unified therapy tame both addiction and emotional disorders?
NCT ID NCT07738081
First seen Jul 30, 2026 · Last updated Jul 31, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This trial tests a 12-session cognitive-behavioral therapy designed to help people with substance use who also struggle with anxiety or depression. The therapy focuses on improving emotion regulation—the ability to understand and manage emotions—which may reduce addictive behaviors. Researchers will compare this approach to standard treatment in 60 participants receiving inpatient or outpatient care.
