First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study tests whether a simple bowel rinsing technique (transanal irrigation) can help people who have bowel control problems after rectal cancer surgery. The study will include 60 adults who recently had surgery and still have a temporary colostomy bag. Researchers want to see if this approach improves quality of life and bowel function in the first year after surgery.
