Simulation vs. lecture: which better prepares nurses for disaster care?

This study tested two ways of teaching nursing students how to manage fluid and electrolyte balance in a child trapped under rubble. 69 students were split into three groups: one got a 90-minute lecture, another got a 270-minute session combining lecture with a simulation, and a third got no training. The goal was to see which method improved knowledge, confidence, and reduced anxiety. Results will help design better disaster-preparedness training for nurses.
