Summary
This study tested a program called Leaders in Action (LIA) to see if training community leaders could reduce intimate partner violence (IPV) in Peru. Over 8,700 adults from 250 villages took part in either household training sessions or group workshops, or both. The goal was to change social norms and lower tolerance for violence. Results showed that these approaches helped reduce violence and improve mental health for both women and men.
