AI coach for trail runners: study tests personalized training plans

Summary
This study aims to see if a personalized training recommendation strategy, powered by artificial intelligence, can help trail runners improve their performance and reduce injuries. Over 1,200 competitive trail runners will be assigned to either a personalized adaptive plan, a standard personalized plan, or a general plan. The researchers will track performance using the ITRA Performance Index and monitor injuries and fatigue over time.
