First seen May 04, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study tests if putting tranexamic acid (TXA) directly into the surgical wound during wrist fracture repair can lower pain and the need for strong painkillers afterward. About 90 adults having wrist surgery will be randomly assigned to receive either TXA or a placebo. The main goal is to see if TXA leads to less pain in the first few days after surgery.
