Summary
This study tested a personalized online decision-support tool called TRACH-Support for families and medical teams facing decisions about long-term breathing support, such as a tracheostomy. The tool was reviewed by 105 family members and healthcare providers, who then completed surveys and interviews about its usability and acceptability. The goal was to see if the tool helps people make more informed choices, not to directly treat the disease.
