New shot could slash severe asthma attacks in half

Summary

This study tested an experimental drug called TQC2731 in 205 adults with severe asthma that is not well controlled by current treatments. Participants received either one of three doses of the drug or a placebo as a shot every 4 weeks for about a year. The main goal was to see if the drug could reduce the number of asthma attacks over a year. The study also looked at lung function and use of rescue medication.
