First seen Apr 26, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 8 times
Summary
This study tests a non-invasive light therapy called transcranial photobiomodulation (tPBM) on the forehead to help people with treatment-resistant depression. Researchers will compare two different light frequencies (10 Hz and 40 Hz) to see which works better for easing symptoms, especially physical complaints like pain or fatigue. The trial involves 40 adults who are already on stable antidepressants but still feel depressed.
