New study aims to sharpen cancer detection with Full-Body PET scans

NCT ID NCT05160480

First seen Jan 31, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 12 times

Summary

This study tests whether a new total-body PET scanner can improve cancer imaging for people with prostate cancer, breast cancer, or neuroendocrine tumors. Nine participants will receive one of three FDA-approved imaging agents to see how well the scanner captures tumor activity. The goal is to gather data to make future scans more accurate, not to treat the disease.
