Could an allergy drug boost lung cancer treatment?

NCT ID NCT07358689

First seen Feb 01, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study tests whether adding an allergy medicine (diphenhydramine) to standard chemo and immunotherapy (toripalimab) helps shrink lung cancer before surgery and prevent it from coming back after. About 120 people with stage IIA-IIIB non-small cell lung cancer will be randomly assigned to get the allergy drug or not. The main goal is to see if the cancer disappears completely after treatment.
