New lens implant sharpens vision for cataract patients with astigmatism

Summary

This study tested a special lens implant (RAO210T) in 274 adults with cataracts and mild astigmatism. The lens was placed in the eye during cataract surgery to correct both the cataract and the astigmatism. Results showed the lens safely improved vision and stayed in place, with few side effects.
