New lens implant tackles cataracts and astigmatism in one surgery

Summary

This study tested a special lens implant (RAO210T) that corrects both cataracts and astigmatism during cataract surgery. 274 adults with cataracts and mild astigmatism received the lens and were followed for about 6 months. The goal was to see if the lens safely improves vision and reduces the need for glasses.
