First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 32 times
Summary
This early-stage study tests the safety of delivering the chemotherapy drug topotecan directly to the brain using a pump and catheter system (convection-enhanced delivery) in 6 people with recurrent IDH-mutant malignant glioma. The treatment involves four infusions over about a month, followed by tumor removal. The goal is to see if this method is safe and can help control the tumor, though it is not a cure.
