New acne gel could offer gentler alternative to standard treatment

Summary
This study tests a new topical gel containing 5% spironolactone against a standard 0.1% adapalene gel for treating acne. Forty people with mild to moderate acne will apply each gel to opposite sides of their face, allowing direct comparison. The goal is to see if the spironolactone gel reduces acne lesions with fewer side effects.
