Scientists test if hair loss gel stays on the scalp or enters blood
NCT ID NCT07033845
Summary
This early study aims to understand how much of a topical gel containing phenylephrine, applied to the scalp to potentially treat chemotherapy hair loss, gets absorbed into the bloodstream. It will involve 24 healthy adult women using the gel daily for three weeks. Researchers will measure drug levels in the blood and check for any safety issues, like changes in blood pressure or skin reactions.
