New foam could offer gentle relief for stubborn skin bumps
NCT ID NCT07462702
First seen Mar 14, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 6 times
Summary
This early study tests whether a topical minocycline foam (AMZEEQ®) can safely improve the appearance and symptoms of confluent and reticulated papillomatosis (CARP), a rare skin condition that causes brown, scaly patches. About 35 people aged 9 and older will apply the foam to one side of their body and a plain moisturizer to the other for 5 weeks. The goal is to see if this foam is a well-tolerated alternative to oral antibiotics.
