New foam could offer gentle relief for bothersome skin rash
NCT ID NCT07462702
First seen Mar 14, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study tests whether a topical foam containing the antibiotic minocycline can safely and effectively treat confluent and reticulated papillomatosis (CARP), a skin condition that causes brown, scaly patches. About 35 people aged 9 and older will apply the foam to one side of their body and a plain moisturizer to the other for 5 weeks. The goal is to see if this foam is a good alternative to oral antibiotics, with fewer side effects.
