Diabetes drug tested as Skin-Healing cream
NCT ID NCT07461103
Summary
This study tested whether applying insulin directly to skin wounds could help them heal faster in people with pemphigus, an autoimmune blistering disease. Twenty patients applied different types of insulin cream or a plain saline solution to three comparable wounds for two weeks. Researchers measured how quickly the wounds closed up to see if the insulin treatment made a difference.
