Can a common pain gel stop radiation burns?

Summary
This study tests whether a diclofenac gel (similar to Voltaren) can prevent skin irritation caused by radiation therapy in people with head/neck or breast cancer. About 156 adults who are about to start radiation will apply the gel to the treated skin area. The goal is to see if it reduces the chance of developing moderate to severe skin reactions.
