First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 31 times
Summary
This study tested whether a Colgate toothpaste containing 5% hydrogen peroxide and fluoride whitens teeth better than a similar toothpaste without peroxide. Eighty adults brushed with one of the two toothpastes for one week. Dentists measured tooth color changes using a shade guide. The goal was to see if the peroxide toothpaste provides noticeable whitening.
