Can your own tooth save your jawbone? study tests reusing extracted teeth as graft material

NCT ID NCT06457373

Summary

This study aims to see if processed tooth material from a donor (allograft) works as well as processed material from the patient's own extracted tooth (autograft) for preserving jawbone after wisdom tooth surgery. Researchers will enroll 40 healthy adults who need both lower wisdom teeth removed. They will measure bone changes, swelling, pain, and healing to compare the two graft materials.
