Pig vs. cow collagen: which helps heal your jawbone better?

NCT ID NCT05802602

Summary

This study compared two different collagen materials used to help the jaw heal after a tooth is pulled. Researchers tested a membrane made from pig collagen against a dressing made from cow collagen in 19 healthy adults. The goal was to see which one better supported new bone and gum growth before a dental implant could be placed.
