New study tests fun videos and acupressure to calm kids at the dentist
NCT ID NCT07371442
First seen Feb 01, 2026 · Last updated May 18, 2026 · Updated 13 times
Summary
This study looks at two simple methods—watching a video or having a gentle acupressure point stimulated—to help children aged 5 to 8 feel less anxious and experience less pain when getting a baby tooth pulled. Researchers will measure anxiety using a heart rate monitor and a picture test, and pain using a faces scale. The goal is to find a drug-free way to make dental visits easier for kids.
