New device aims to strengthen tongues and voices after cancer surgery

Summary
This study is testing whether starting a structured tongue-strengthening exercise program early, using a special biofeedback device called a Tongueometer, can lead to better speech and swallowing recovery for people after tongue cancer surgery. It will involve 40 adults who are having surgery to remove part of their tongue. The goal is to see if this proactive approach should become a standard part of post-surgery care to improve quality of life.
