First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This study used a special ultrasound technique to measure stiffness in the calf muscles and Achilles tendon of children who walk on their toes (idiopathic toe walking) compared to children with a typical walk. 46 children aged 4 to 12 took part. The goal was to better understand the physical changes in the muscles of toe-walking children, without providing any treatment.
