GCA patients may soon escape Long-Term drug use

Summary
This study looks at whether people with giant cell arteritis (GCA) who are in remission can safely stop or lower their dose of tocilizumab (Actemra). About 78 adults who have been on high-dose tocilizumab for at least a year and off steroids for 3 months will either stop the drug or take a lower dose. Researchers will track how many have a disease flare over 18 months to find the best way to reduce treatment without risking relapse.
