Zapping the brain to help Alzheimer's patients talk again

NCT ID NCT04482179

Summary

This study tested whether a combination of two treatments could improve speech and communication in people with mild-to-moderate Alzheimer's disease. Twenty-three participants received either real or fake magnetic brain stimulation (TMS) along with intensive speech therapy. Researchers measured changes in language skills to see if the real treatment worked better than the fake one.
