Brain zaps for ringing ears: new trial tests TMS for tinnitus

Summary
This study tests whether a non-invasive brain stimulation technique called TMS can reduce the severity of chronic tinnitus (ringing in the ears). Fifty adults with tinnitus will receive both real and sham (placebo) TMS sessions, with an MRI scan used to guide the stimulation. The goal is to see if TMS can ease the burden of tinnitus and improve quality of life.
