Magnetic pulses tested as new hope for teens whose depression Won't budge
NCT ID NCT05652465
Summary
This study is testing whether a non-invasive brain stimulation technique, combined with talk therapy, can help teenagers whose depression hasn't responded to standard treatments. Teens aged 13-17 with treatment-resistant depression will receive magnetic pulses to the brain daily for 2-3 weeks while also undergoing cognitive behavioral therapy. The goal is to see if this approach is safe and potentially effective for this young, hard-to-treat population.
