New combo therapy aims to tame AML with precision radiation

NCT ID NCT03467386

First seen Feb 17, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 12 times

Summary

This early-phase trial tests a new way to prepare adults with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) for a donor stem cell transplant. Instead of full-body radiation, it uses targeted radiation to the bone marrow and lymph nodes, followed by a drug called cyclophosphamide to prevent graft-versus-host disease. The main goal is to check safety and side effects in 56 participants whose AML is in remission.
