Blood injections may ease jaw surgery recovery: which works best?
NCT ID NCT07359131
First seen Feb 01, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 9 times
Summary
This study looks at two treatments—platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and platelet-rich fibrin (PRF)—given during jaw surgery for TMJ disorders. Researchers want to see which one helps more with pain and jaw movement after surgery. The study will review medical records of 700 adults aged 18 to 75 who had the surgery and received one of these injections. No new treatments are given; it simply compares past results to find the better option.
