New jaw surgery technique aims to fix clicking, painful joints faster
NCT ID NCT07316673
Summary
This study compares two surgical techniques for fixing a displaced disc in the jaw joint (TMJ). 50 adults whose jaw pain hasn't improved with other treatments will be randomly assigned to receive either a newer 'Fast Fix' method or a standard stitching method. Researchers will track improvements in mouth opening, pain levels, and surgery time over 6 months to see if the newer technique works better.
