Common pain pill may weaken Ear's natural defense against loud noise
NCT ID NCT07309354
Summary
This study aims to understand if the muscle relaxant tizanidine affects the ear's natural reflex that protects against loud sounds. Researchers will test 45 adults who are already prescribed tizanidine, measuring their ear reflexes before and after one week of treatment. The goal is to learn whether this common medication might make people more sensitive to loud noises during treatment.
